Tequila, of ‘A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila’ fame, signed a citizen’s arrest warrant accusing Merriman of choking and restraining her when she tried to leave the player’s house, north of San Diego.

Tila Tequila, whose real name is Tila Nguyen, was shot to fame with her reality show ‘A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila’ which ran for two seasons on MTV. 

If the reports of an online website is to be believed, the duo was spotted at Stingaree nightclub in San Diego around 1am, i.e. a few hours before that incident took place. "They were taken in a roped off area and Tila was seen giving Shawne lap dances all night long," the website reported.

The cops responded about 3:45 a.m. to a disturbance call at the suburban home of the San Diego Chargers linebacker, when a woman called to say she was choked by the player and thrown to the ground when she tried to leave.

Tequila was taken to Pomerado Hospital in Poway, Calif where she received treatment and was discharged shortly after.

Merriman has been taken into custody and the bail was set at $58,000 (reported by the San Diego Union-Tribune).

Tequila was quite excited, as evident from a post on her twitter page, which says she was recently in the town to attend Chargers’ game Friday night against the San Francisco 49ers. Her tweet read as follows:

 “Im the Head Cheerleader Prom Queen and (at)Shawne Merriman is the Prom King! hahaha! LETS GOOO! LIGHTS OUT! SAN DIEGO I WILL SEE U TOMORROW!”

According to the reports of an online sports website, this event declined the prospect of returning to the series A with the Giallorossi, who doesn’t want to leave Corinthians where he has rediscovered his love for the football while playing for the Brazilians.

Reportedly, Ronaldo also refused to join Tottenham and Blackburn in the Barclays Premier League. Fenomeno's agent, Fabiano Farah says that his client feels at ease with his present club, and appreciates the family like environment.

"He feels accepted at Corinthians," Farah said."For everything that he won, and for everything he represents, Corinthians is like a family and he is happy there."

After proving her mettle at the US open, Yaroslava Shvedova has a message for all the stars of women tennis fraternity.

“They better watch out,” she said. “We are coming.”

Shvedova has recently ousted Serbian fifth seed Jelena Jankovic 6-3, 6-7 (4/7), 7-6 (8/6) and US teen Melanie Oudin eliminated Russian fourth seed Elena Dementieva 5-7, 6-4, 6-3.

"This year, I see how many players are doing this," Shvedova said. "It's like big changing starts now."

Shvedova(22) watched Oudin(17) beating Jankovic from Wimbledon in the third round, and kept search for a Grand Slam title ongoing for the next season.

Shvedova told Oudin that she was inspired with her game. She saw her game, while waiting for her match."  'We are good girls today.’ she told Oudin.

Oudin, who ranks 70^th at present is not a big threat to tennis superstars as yet. However, as the No. 3 US Player, she has the capacity of reaching Serena and Venus Williams Stature.

"It's really cool to be called the third-best American behind the Williams sisters," Oudin said. "That's incredible. I've watched them since I was a little girl. They've been like my idols."

"When you are playing a player like that they play totally different," said Jankovic. "They're serving 120 mph. They are hitting every shot. They are really not thinking out there.

Jankovic saw Shvedova as a carefree, young breed with nothing to lose when playing against the top players.

Shvedova, despite having a torn meniscus, beat Jankovic in Doha last year.

"I realized it was bad. I knew I need surgery," she said. "So they just tape it. I went on the court and I just played. I realized it's nothing special. For me it's like a regular player. So you can beat anyone."

Last year, Shvedova switched her citizenship from Russia to Kazakhstan, so that she could have a chance to compete in the Fed Cup and the Olympics maybe. She said it was difficult to practice in Russia and she didn’t want to fight for resources and ranks with a established Russian tennis stars.
